Surf’s Up at The Beach Club
Santa Barbara wedding coordinators agree that paying homage to sun, sand and surf was never more inviting than during The Beach Club’s latest wedding when Shannon and Mike planned a retro summer concert to celebrate not only their new life together, but also everything that makes that life so exciting. So grease that ducktail and grab your baby ‘cause The Beach Club is Fat City (that’s “the place to be” for all you cubes).
The hep couple sent out wedding invitations in the form of concert tickets, and guest RSVP’d by returning the stub to the couple. Upon arriving guests could sign the couple’s uniquely repurposed concert posters in lieu of a guestbook and drop off wedding gifts in wide-open guitar case. To start the ceremony cookin’ with a big tickle, the wedding party walked down the beachfront aisle with inflatable instruments while the bride and groom followed, singing a hot tune into their blow-up mics.
Mike and Shannon flipped to have Santa Barbara wedding coordinators at The Beach Club match their wedding colors to their favorite time of day—sunset! So an oceanic teal with pops of an inviting orange painted the reception area, just a stone’s throw from the beachfront ceremony. Keeping up the high spirits of these summer concert-goers, the Red White Sangria helped guests hang loose while they read the personalized vinyl records, which revealed their table numbers.
This wedding party was made in the shade and it kept hoppin’ as guests could use the groom’s jukebox to select some swingin’ dance floor tunes, to which guests danced, waving glow sticks wands and wearing glow stick peepers (no, daddy-o, glasses). And we Santa Barbara wedding coordinators are still tossing the guitar picks, which had the couple’s names and wedding date on it, to the rhythm of that night.

That cake looks absolutely splendid. I've been to so many wonderful weddings in Santa Barbara; each so full of love! Actually I'm going back this upcoming summer for one at Butterfly Beach. SO excited, it is going to be perfect. I'm staying at the South Coast Inn (www.santa-barbara-hotel.com) So elegant and the perfect place to catch up on some much needed R&R.
